The Obsolete End Terminal Critical Specification Update program will review in detail a recent change to the minimum maintenance standards regarding Steel Beam Guide Rail End Terminals Provincially. There are many aging End Terminals within the Municipal and Provincial Road network and road agencies are tasked with how to treat these devices when deficient. This program will examine recent Provincial updates to legacy hardware including when a system can be repaired and when a system should be replaced entirely. This program will also review the different types of deficiencies that can affect the performance of a device - Damage, Design, and Aging.
